Libby McGeorge

Libby discovered her love of geometry at her father's knee, when instead of coloring books, he taught her to draw and color her own designs using a compass, square, and protractor. Due to extreme nearsightedness that wasn't effectively  corrected until she was a teen, she developed a strong sense of spatial relationships . These experiences laid the foundation for her artistic expression.  

Her primary work is modeling three-dimensional geometric forms in a variety of mediums including digital, crochet, origami (paper folding), momigami (paper kneading), sashiko (geometric embroidery), straws & pipe cleaners, yard refuse and householdwaste.

Libby moved to Etna from Ashland in 2019 and is delighted Marble Rim Gallery has relocated here, as she has very much missed being involved in community arts activities.
