At the age of 20, I worked at a booming florist in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. It was there that I learned floral design and have continued doing floral design throughout my life.
In 1975, I moved to California and attended Chico State, where I graduated in Recreational Therapy. I have done groups of arts and crafting (including floral design) in therapeutic contexts, and it is my hope to continue doing groups with a focus on vocational growth.
Art brings catharsis and satisfaction, building our confidence, reducing anxiety, and it can produce profitable merchandise!
I consider it a privilege to work with Marble Rim Gallery. And the opportunity of offering the community wonderful art classes, to young people and to people of all ages, including children.
